PPF - Far East Asia Opportunities Fund: capture the growth and manage the cycle in emerging Asia

In only a single generation, China has succeeded in becoming one of the top three national economies and trading nations in the world. The Middle Kingdom is well on the way to becoming a world power. Huge investments in infrastructure and the enormous backlog in demand for private consumer goods continue to drive the Chinese economic miracle. China’s hunger for even more power and success feeds vast regions throughout Asia and helps strengthen China’s claim to leadership in the Far East.

Investment objective

By exploiting the opportunities on the far-east stock markets, the fund targets a long-term increase in value in USD. The fund is intended for investors who want to share the economic success of Asian companies. As a result of its rapid development, the region – which includes China, the world’s second-largest economic power – offers above-average prospects for growth. This environment has a highly positive effect on the profit outlook of the region’s listed corporations.

Investment policy

The investment process combines top-down macroeconomic analyses to identify cyclical turning points on the markets with a bottom-up equity selection process that, through on-site research, identifies companies with an above-average profitability and the best growth prospects.
